ULTRAHUMAN Ring Review

Today, we discuss this ring. It is a smart ring that includes several sensors and a powerful analysis system, which operates through your phone. The creators boldly claim that it makes you a cyborg. This video aims to prove or disprove that claim.

What Modules Does It Have?

  • Thermometer – Measures temperature.
  • Accelerometer – Tracks steps and activity.
  • Heart Rate Monitor – Measures heart rate and provides related metrics.
  • Battery – Powers all of the above modules.
  • Frame – Holds everything together.
Let's discuss each of them in turn.

The Frame

The frame is beautiful. It is very noticeable. When you speak to someone, they will definitely notice it. This is probably the biggest plus of the product—it truly makes you feel better, more optimistic, and more confident.

Regarding comfort, there are pros and cons. The ring is super light—lighter than the plastic sizing rings that come before your order to determine the correct size.

It also sits naturally on the finger due to its softened edges. For example, my wedding ring occasionally causes discomfort, but this one does not.

However, it is rather large, which can make certain tasks difficult. The biggest challenges for me were carrying luggage and driving. You can no longer rely on your left hand as you did before, as the ring slightly offsets one finger.

Durability

Speaking about durability, I believe it holds up well. I frequently went swimming, worked with tools, and played various ball games, and it remained intact. Of course, there are a few scratches—this one in particular is from a stone at an aquapark—but I doubt any material could withstand that completely.

So, my take on the frame? It makes me happy, and even this aspect alone is worth the money spent.

The Thermometer

The thermometer was the second most positive feature for me. Most smartwatches do not measure temperature, even though it is a useful metric. I found the results to be accurate and realistic. When my body was fighting inflammation, the ring showed an increase in temperature. It’s important to note that it measures deviations from normal, as the temperature of your finger is naturally lower than your core temperature. I found it useful to check my temperature daily to get an early warning about potential illness.

The Battery

Now, for something less positive—the battery. My ring lasted only three and a half days before entering energy-saving mode, meaning I had to charge it every three to four days. Since I use it at night, I have to charge it during the day. However, because the charging cycle is unpredictable, I couldn’t establish a consistent schedule. To be honest, I sometimes let it run out of power entirely and just wore it as a brick for a few days, which is still a very positive use case for me, as I mentioned before.

The Accelerometer

The accelerometer works well. Step counting matches the data from my smartwatch, and movement reminders function similarly, though they appear on my phone instead. If you don’t own a smartwatch or another fitness tracker, this ring could easily fill that role.

The Heart Rate Monitor

The ring measures heart rate roughly every minute. There is a second mode for workouts, which likely increases the measurement frequency, but I always used my smartwatch for exercise, so I never relied on the ring for that. Additionally, I prefer immediate heart rate data during training rather than reviewing it afterward.

In terms of accuracy, I was impressed. It achieved approximately 95% accuracy compared to my sports watch, making it reliable enough for me to recommend it to friends.

Sleep Tracking

Beyond basic data, the combined sensor inputs allow for tracking sleep duration, sleep cycles, and sleep quality. And I think the ring has nailed it. I have a small kid, which means I wake up multiple times per night, and all of this data was clearly recorded. I appreciated the insights and tried to follow the sleep recommendations.

A notable advantage is that this ring is the only wearable I can tolerate for sleep tracking. I find smartwatches uncomfortable at night. Same with bracelets like whoop. So i would say, it is the only accessory on the market, which can provide you with proper sleep data without disturbing you from sleep.

Data Analysis & User Effort

So this is full capability, which I have used and experienced. However, there are a bit more. If you actively log all meals, workouts, and activities, you can obtain even more precise insights and recommendations. You see, the main product is not just the ring but the accompanying database and analysis software on your phone, which provides a vast amount of additional information.

However, I was too lazy to take full advantage of this. I bought the ring to become a cyborg—to receive automated data and suggestions. Instead, it required constant manual input, making me feel more like a slave to data.

And with that said,

Who Won’t Appreciate This Product?

  1. Those looking for a sports accessory to track activity—it's simply not as good as a sports watch.
